AVMF Veterinary Care Charitable Fund®
The Veterinary Care Charitable Fund® provides a simple way for you to collect charitable donations to care for needy animals. The AVMF accepts tax-deductible donations on behalf of participating AVMA member practices. Donated funds can then be used to help clients who can’t afford services, or to care for neglected, abused or abandoned animals. Enrollment is free for AVMA members.

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) provides grants that support veterinarians during disasters. Reimbursement grants cover expenses you incur when providing emergency veterinary care to animal victims of disasters. The AVMF also provides disaster relief grants to pay for basic emergency necessities—such as clothing, temporary housing, transportation, and meals—when veterinarians and veterinary students are impacted by a disaster.
Animal health research is crucial to veterinary medicine, and the AVMF provides grants and scholarships to make it easier. Funding opportunities are available for research veterinarians and veterinary students making advances in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of animal diseases.
AVMA’s fellowship program sends AVMA members and fourth-year veterinary students to Washington as scientific advisors to members of Congress.
