AVMA careers
The AVMA is the national not-for-profit association advocating for and advancing the interests of all veterinary professionals. Serving as a collective voice for our member veterinarians and the veterinary profession as a whole, the AVMA provides wide-ranging benefits to members, including information resources, state and federal advocacy, opportunities to address issues and affect policies that govern the profession and practice of veterinary medicine, continuing education opportunities, quality publications, and discounts on personal and professional products, programs and services.
We value our talented staff and believe in investing in their continued growth and development.
The work of the AVMA is carried out by a staff of more than 160 dedicated employees, our members, and volunteer leadership. The AVMA is governed by an 18-member volunteer Board of Directors and has a $30 million-plus annual operating budget. We’re headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, a northwestern suburb of Chicago, and our government relations office is in Washington, D.C.
Throughout the AVMA, we take pride in knowing that we are making a difference in animal and human health.
