Exploring the map

Choose any of the maps linked at the top of the screen to see the data you’re looking for overlaid on a map of the U.S.

• Zoom in or out of a map to explore different areas of the U.S.
• Zooming in more closely will divide zip codes into even smaller areas, like neighborhoods.
• Locations are color coded according to income, cost of living, or other data, depending on which map you’re exploring. Use the legends to learn more.
• Click any outlined location see more details and data about that place.
• Use the search function in the top right corner of the map to search for a specific state, city, zip code, or address.

Browsing jobs

Use the job panel to see which veterinary jobs are available in the areas you’re exploring.

• Job listings are marked by pins on the map. Click any job pin to see more details about that job.
• Enter specific keywords inside the search bar just above the job list to see only the jobs that match your criteria.
• Click the filter icon at the top right of the job list to narrow job listings by category, occupation, job type, or species.
• Click directly on a job title within the list to go to the job listing on the VCC.
• Click anywhere else within the job list results (such as on the employer logo) to quickly see job details within JobFIT.
