The Ohio VMA held its Midwest Veterinary Conference from February 22-24 in Columbus.
Awards
Veterinarian of the Year
Dr. Mike Dyer (Ohio State ’93), Proctorville. Dr. Dyer co-owns eight veterinary hospitals in the tri-state area of southern Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. A member of the Stanton Foundation advisory board at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, he also co-founded the Mountwest Community and Technical College’s School of Veterinary Technology.
Distinguished Service Award
Dr. Melvin Wenger (Ohio State ’81), Orrville. Dr. Wenger is the CEO and past president of Veterinary Wellness Partners in Orrville. His practice interests focus on food animal medicine and surgery and small animal orthopedic surgery.
