AVMF awarding scholarships to New Jersey veterinary students
The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF), in partnership with the Harold Wetterberg Foundation, is awarding scholarships to current or former residents of New Jersey who are undertaking a career in veterinary medicine.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Enrolled as a second- or third-year veterinary student during the 2024 academic year
- Graduated from a New Jersey high school and have had a 3.0 GPA or higher at their veterinary and undergraduate schools
- Have U.S. citizenship
Preference is given to students pursuing dual degrees and those who have graduated from or attended a university in New Jersey.
Previous recipients are eligible to apply. Award amounts range from $5,000-$15,000. For more information, download the scholarship guidelines.
The application period opened on January 1 and the deadline for this scholarship program is March 15. Award notification and check disbursement will take place early in the fall semester.
