Insulin syringes recalled

Med-Vet International initiated a recall Feb. 14 of 140 boxes of syringes for administering U-40 insulin. The syringes are mislabeled as 40 units per 1/2 cc and should be labeled as 20 units per 1/2 cc.
Consumers who have these insulin syringes should quarantine all the products. The syringes were manufactured in May 2012 and distributed from January 2013 to February 2014. The lot number is 20120610, and the item number is MV1/2CCINS-40 or 1/2CCINS-40 by Oasis. Med-Vet International is arranging for the return of the recalled syringes.
