The Auxiliary to the AVMA is seeking entries for its annual poster and writing contests to generate promotional materials for National Pet Week 2013.

"Love Your Pet, See Your Vet" is the theme for National Pet Week in 2013. The deadline for the poster and writing contests is March 9, 2012. The contests are open to kindergartners to 12th-graders, and each contest winner will receive $100.

Entries in the poster contest may be any size and must be colorful. Contestants should mail entries to NPW Poster Contest, Auxiliary to the AVMA, 1931 N. Meacham Road, Suite 100, Schaumburg, IL 60173.

Entries in the writing contest should be poems, essays, or stories of 20 to 200 words. Contestants should submit entries in the body of an email message, not as an attachment, to auxiliarykrittersatyahoo [dot] com (auxiliarykritters[at]yahoo[dot]com). Alternatively, contestants may mail entries for the writing contest to the address for the poster contest.

Additional details and entry forms are available by visiting the Auxiliary website at www.avmaaux.org, then looking under "National Pet Week," or by emailing auxiliarykrittersatyahoo [dot] com (auxiliarykritters[at]yahoo[dot]com).
