Executive Board acts on broad range of proposals

As reported in the May 15, 2007, JAVMA News, the Executive Board acted on more than 150 agenda items during its April meeting. Approved were a range of proposals, including creating a One Health Initiative Task Force and a 2008 budget totaling approximately $28.8 million. Following are other board actions, such as supporting the concept for a national institute dedicated to companion animal and equine research, developing a policy to guide future AVMA charitable response to national and international disasters, and accepting a legislative action plan for the 110th Congress.
