Dr. Kimberly Rudloff has joined the AVMA Membership and Field Services Division. Dr. Rudloff's primary responsibility will be overseeing the Veterinary Career Center on the AVMA Web site, www.avma.org. The career center is an online meeting place for veterinary employers and job seekers. She also will oversee member affinity benefit programs, economic research services, and a few other programs.

The opportunity to help other veterinarians advance their careers through the Veterinary Career Center was a big draw for Dr. Rudloff.

"I really wanted to make a difference with my career, and working for the AVMA was the best way for me to do that," Dr. Rudloff said.

Dr. Rudloff graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. After graduation, she worked as a small animal veterinarian at practices in Ohio, Georgia, and Illinois. She concentrated in emergency medicine. In 1999, she began working as a consulting veterinarian for Hill's Pet Nutrition and advanced to become the veterinary affairs manager for a four-state territory comprising Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois.

Most recently, Dr. Rudloff worked as a clinical research associate for a combined human and dog weight management study in conjunction with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Hill's Pet Nutrition.
