The American Veterinary Medical Foundation has awarded three research grants totaling $125,000 for the following initiatives: - $75,000 to Melinda Wilkerson, DVM, PhD, Kansas State University, for "Evaluation of vaccines and vaccine schedules with the potential risks of adverse reactions and immune-mediated diseases." The research is a multicenter approach that will assess the associations of vaccine frequency and vaccine products with risks of adverse reactions and development of immune-mediated disease.
