Share your expertise; speak at 2003 AVMA convention

The AVMA Convention Management and Program Committee invites proposals from potential speakers for the 2003 AVMA Annual Meeting in Denver, July 19-23. The deadline for submissions from member veterinarians and other interested individuals is March 1, 2002.

Speakers can categorize their topic as representing one or more of the following sections: Companion Animal Medicine—surgery, exotics, human-animal bond, or other; Personal and Professional Development—practice management, communications, health/wellness, law/ethics, or informatics; Food Animal/Equine—aquaculture, equine, bovine, small ruminant, swine, or complementary and alternative medicine; Public and Corporate Practice—advances in veterinary medicine, food safety, international veterinary medicine, laboratory animal medicine, military medicine, or public health medicine; Veterinary Technician; and Wet Labs.

Applications may be downloaded and printed from the AVMA Web site, www.avma.org. Click on "2001 AVMA Convention Wrap-up," then on "Other" in the Convention Links, and "2003 Call for Speakers." Forms may also be obtained from the March 15, 2001 JAVMA, page 973, or by calling (800) 248-2862, ext. 268. Complete the form as a cover letter for your proposal.
