Abdy accepts 2000-2001 Congressional fellowship

Dr. Mark J. Abdy has accepted the position of AVMF Congressional Science Fellow for 2000-2001. A former president of the Student AVMA, Dr. Abdy has worked at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine department of pathobiology since 1997, starting as a coinvestigator for the Recombinant Equine Herpes and Influenza Virus Vaccine Project.

Dr. Abdy is a member of the AVMA, the Florida VMA, the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians, and the Wildlife Disease Association. He is a 1992 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Abdy will begin his fellowship by participating in the American Association for the Advancement of Science orientation program this August.
