The FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine is revising and reprinting the "FDA and the Veterinarian" booklet. The new version reflects changes brought about by the implementation of the Animal Medicinal Drug Use Clarification Act and the Animal Drug Availability Act. Extralabel use of drugs and Veterinary Feed Directives are just a few of the changes in the amended booklet, which explains the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act as it applies to veterinarians. Free single or bulk copies are available by contacting Joanne Kla at the FDA-CVM at (301) 827-6507 or jklacvm [dot] fda [dot] gov (jkla[at]cvm[dot]fda[dot]gov). The revised publication will also be posted on their Web site.
