Some might say that "behind every good veterinarian, there's a veterinary technician"… but not us. That's because we know that veterinary technicians don't just work behind the scenes in veterinary hospitals—they're right up there, gathering information from clients, providing compassionate care for their animal patients, performing laboratory procedures and taking radiographs (x-rays), and much more. But that's not all—veterinary technicians enjoy successful, rewarding careers in research, military service, food safety, teaching, zoos and aquariums, and many more areas.

We officially celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week during the third week of October, but the contributions of veterinary technicians to the veterinary profession and to animal health and welfare are appreciated all year long.
