Canine circovirus

Circovirus may be present as a primary or co-infection with other enteric pathogens, but there is still much to learn about its significance as an enteric pathogen. Canine circovirus infections have been documented in dogs with vomiting and diarrhea. Circovirus also was rumored to be the cause of dog illnesses and several dog deaths in Ohio in late August/early September 2013, but this has not been confirmed.
