Johne's disease

Johne's is a disease of significant economic importance to producers of cattle and small ruminants. The AVMA supports research in the development of improved diagnostic tests, management practices, vaccines, and their roles in control efforts in herds and flocks. To that end the AVMA supports maximum and sustained funding to effectively support the USDA Johne's Disease Control Program.
