FTC Chair Lina Khan to address AVMA's annual Business and Economic Forum
(SCHAUMBURG, Illinois) October 4, 2024—Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Lina M. Khan will open the 2024 AVMA Veterinary Business and Economic Forum with a special address updating attendees on non-compete agreements and other issues of key concern in veterinary medicine.
This will be the second consecutive year in which Chair Khan has presented at the annual Forum. The FTC is focused on a range of issues of interest to the veterinary profession, including mergers and private-equity acquisitions as well as the FTC's path forward on non-compete agreements.
The Forum's lineup of speakers also includes renowned organizational psychologist Adam Grant, global futurist Anders Sörman-Nilsson, and veterinary practitioners eager to share knowledge and expertise to help others grow thriving businesses.
The 2024 Forum takes place online October 8-9, with an afternoons-only agenda that fits neatly into veterinary practices' busy work schedules.
