(SCHAUMBURG, Illinois) February 8, 2021—The AVMA and VetSuccess have partnered to expand the scope and reach of their economic data and reports, providing veterinary professionals with the most current and insightful data so they can monitor key veterinary indicators and make more informed business decisions.
VetSuccess' Veterinary Industry Tracker will now be available on the AVMA's website, along with the association's other economic tools, reports and resources.
The AVMA will also begin publishing a new monthly newsletter, "AVMA Practice Pulse," with benchmarks and metrics made available to the AVMA by VetSuccess. AVMA Practice Pulse will provide a digest of key practice data and expert insight to help veterinary professionals strengthen their business strategy and position their practices for greater success.
The first edition of Practice Pulse will feature a year in review snapshot of 2020 as well as a look ahead to what 2021 may hold for veterinary practices, and links to tools and resources to help practices manage through these uncertain times. Subscribe to the newsletter here.
In addition, the AVMA and VetSuccess will produce a series of webinars geared toward helping veterinary industry professionals understand the economic currents affecting the profession.
"This is an exciting partnership, and one that's going to pay immediate dividends to AVMA members and veterinary professionals," said Dr. Douglas Kratt, president of the AVMA. "The results of this collaboration will add to our already extensive collection of economic resources to improve business knowledge, acumen and financial success, and further establish the AVMA as the premier source of complete and unbiased financial and market information for the veterinary profession."
"We're proud to partner with the economic experts at the AVMA," said Martin Traub-Werner, founder of VetSuccess. "Our main goal with this collaboration is to marry VetSuccess statistics with AVMA economic expertise, ultimately enabling deeper visibility into veterinary industry performance. In short, we want to help our industry grow."
The centerpiece of the partnership is the Veterinary Industry Tracker, powered by the AVMA and VetSuccess. This interactive dashboard, now available on both the AVMA and VetSuccess websites, features aggregated transactional data from thousands of veterinary practices. This unique industry resource shows daily revenue growth for the past week and how each day compares to the same day last year, plus visits growth, months of parasiticide protection dispensed, and a breakdown of service vs. product revenue.
The tracker also features a 14-day rolling trendline for revenue and visits for the past 12 months and revenue growth by state.
"One of the best things about the Veterinary Industry Tracker is its ability to provide veterinary professionals with the data they need to make confident, informed decisions about their business," said Katie McClean, managing director of VetSuccess. "They can go beyond survey results and speculation with statistics and benchmarks from the veterinary data and economic experts."
