With National Pet Dental Health Month fast approaching, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has developed a toolkit for veterinarians looking for resources to help celebrate the event and educate clients on the importance of dental care–and encourage them to make appointments for exams, cleanings and other dental services they need to keep their pets healthy.

AVMA's National Pet Dental Health Month Toolkit, available exclusively to AVMA members, includes pre-written social media posts veterinarians can use on Twitter and Facebook; a marketing plan to help veterinarians get the word out about events they’re holding; templates for press releases and letters to the editor that veterinarians can use to reach local media; ideas to help veterinarians observe National Pet Dental Health Month in their clinics; and more.

In addition to the toolkit, the AVMA has additional publicly available dental health resources, including client brochures and handouts, videos, a podcast and more. All of these resources are available online at avma.org/PetDental.
