Thomas L. Connair

Dr. Connair (Ohio State ’58), 96, Kettering, Ohio, died September 30, 2025. Following graduation, he joined a large animal practice in Murphysboro, Illinois. In 1962, Dr. Connair established Centerville Animal Hospital in Centerville, Ohio, where he practiced small animal medicine until retirement in 2001. A member of the Ohio VMA (OVMA) and Miami Valley VMA, he served as OVMA district representative for several years. Dr. Connair was also active with committees of the OVMA and the state government in public health.

He served in the Navy from 1952-54. Dr. Connair is survived by four sons, two daughters, 25 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, and a brother. Jerry Kendell Davis

Dr. Davis (Auburn ’74), 76, Pembroke, New Hampshire, died May 20, 2025. A diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM), he was a veterinary medical officer with the Office of Counter-Terrorism and Emergency Coordination at the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, prior to retirement. While there, Dr. Davis also served as the subject matter expert for comparative medicine. Earlier in his career, he was a professor of comparative medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a professor of pathobiology at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and director of the laboratory animal program and a professor in the Department of Comparative Pathobiology at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine.

During his career, Dr. Davis also helped develop and direct the Indiana Collaborative Training Program for Comparative Medicine in partnership with Purdue, Indiana University, Eli Lilly, and Lab Corp. He was a member of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science, Association of Primate Veterinarians, American Society for Microbiology, and International Organization for Mycoplasmology. Dr. Davis was honored by several organizations, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and National Institutes of Health. He was also a recipient of the Parker B. Francis Pulmonary Research Fellowship.

Dr. Davis is survived by his wife, Maureen; two sons and a daughter; five grandchildren; and a sister. Raymond M. Fournier

Dr. Fournier (Ohio State ’74), 77, Miamisburg, Ohio, died July 14, 2025. Following graduation, he served in the Army Veterinary Corps. Dr. Fournier subsequently co-owned Miamisburg Animal Hospital Inc., where he practiced equine and companion animal medicine until 1995. He then worked at Paws Inn Animal Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Fournier was a past president of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board and Miami Valley VMA and was a member of the Ohio VMA. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; a daughter; and two brothers. Memorials may be made to Rock Steady Boxing, 6847 Hillsdale Court, Indianapolis, IN 46250, or

Steven A. Kincaid

Dr. Kincaid (Purdue ’69), 82, Carmel, Indiana, died September 27, 2025. He was a professor of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine prior to retirement. Earlier in his career, Dr. Kincaid served on the faculty of the University of Tennessee, where he twice received what is now known as the Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teacher Award. While at Auburn, he was the recipient of the Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teacher Award, Student Government Association Outstanding Teacher Award, and Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Kincaid was also honored by Pfizer for excellence in research. In 2002, he received the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges’ national teaching award, and in 2008, he was a co-recipient of the Gerald and Emily Leischuck Endowed Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Kincaid is survived by two daughters, a son, three grandchildren, and a brother. Hampton D. McAda

Dr. McAda (Texas A&M ’81), 70, Yorktown, Texas, died August 10, 2025. Following graduation, he joined the practice owned by his father, Dr. William E. McAda (Texas A&M ’52). Dr. McAda is survived by his wife, DeeDee; two sons; two grandchildren; and a sister and two brothers. His brother, Dr. Wesley S. McAda (Texas A&M ’86), and brother-in-law, Dr. Michael Jacob (Texas A&M ’77), are also veterinarians. Memorials may be made to the Pet Adoptions of Cuero, P.O. Raymond Kim Wong

Dr. Wong (California-Davis ’14), 38, Edgewood, Maryland, died August 10, 2025. Following graduation, he joined the Army Veterinary Corps, serving as officer-in-charge in Fort Benning, Georgia, with the rank of captain, deploying subsequently to Kuwait. Dr. Wong then served as commander of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the 14th Support Combat Hospital in Fort Stewart, Georgia, and as an attending veterinarian in South Korea. In 2019, he attained the rank of major and was an attending veterinarian at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Lakewood, Washington, and, later, at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, focusing on laboratory animal medicine.

Dr. Wong was a diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine. He is survived by his wife, Rene; his father; and a sister.
