Awards
Veterinarian of the Year
Dr. David Larson (Iowa State ’77), Ankeny. Dr. Larson recently retired from Newton Animal Clinic, a practice he owned for 35 years in Newton. During that time, he worked with the Jasper County Animal Rescue League to develop a program to provide low-cost veterinary care for the community. A past member of the IVMA executive board, Dr. Larson is an IVMA Foundation Fellow and a member of the IVMA Foundation board of directors and IVMA Sports and Field Committee.
Rising Star Award
Dr. Aubrey Cordray (Iowa State ’14), Humboldt. Dr. Cordray owns Humboldt Veterinary Clinic. She has also served as the veterinarian for the Humboldt County Fair for several years. Dr. Cordray helped establish Moffitt Animal Shelter in Humboldt. She is a member of the Humboldt County Community Foundation, which provides grants to improve the community.
