The Colorado VMA (CVMA) held its annual meeting from September 11-14 in Broomfield.
Awards
Veterinarian of the Year
Dr. Albane Fauron, Fort Collins. A 2015 graduate of Royal Veterinary College in London, Dr. Fauron co-owns Coyote Ridge Veterinary Clinic in Fort Collins. Known for her leadership and compassion, she partners with several animal rescue organizations in Colorado and surrounding states to provide care for challenging cases.
Distinguished Service Award
Dr. Will French (Colorado State '11), Littleton. Dr. French practices at Littleton Equine Medical Center. He is a past president of the CVMA and is immediate past chair of the CVMA Advocacy Commission. As chair, Dr. French led the association’s advocacy efforts, including complex legislative proposals and important ballot measures.
President's Award
Dr. Curtis Crawford (Colorado State '86), Monte Vista. Dr. Crawford practices at Alpine Veterinary Hospital in Monte Vista. He is a past president of the CVMA and has served as Colorado's delegate and alternate delegate to the AVMA House of Delegates. Dr. Crawford has also chaired the CVMA Food Animal Education Commission for two decades.
