A chat about how to advocate in DC and beyond
Advocating for veterinarians’ shared interests in Washington, D.C., and in state capitals is a big part of AVMA efforts to empower its 97,000-plus members to thrive in the profession they love. Not surprisingly, that work is most successful when more members are involved. On April 27, AVMA President Douglas Kratt will host a virtual chat titled “Come One, Come All: Member Power in AVMA Advocacy.”
Dr. Kratt along with Dr. Kent McClure, AVMA chief government relations officer, will lead an interactive discussion to explore what the AVMA is doing to protect, promote, and advance veterinary needs and what members can do to help ensure that veterinarians’ interests are represented by state and federal lawmakers.
The virtual chat will be at noon Central time on April 27. Registration is available via AVMA Axon, the AVMA’s online platform for continuing education and other offerings.
