Awards
Helwig-Jennings Award
Dr. Dale Moore (California-Davis ’83), Pullman, Washington, for outstanding and prolonged service to the ACVPM. Dr. Moore is the director of veterinary extension and a clinical professor at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she is also a member of the Agricultural Animal Health Program Field Disease Investigation Unit. She is a diplomate of the ACVPM.
Distinguished Diplomate Award
Col. Margery Hanfelt (Colorado State ’92), Buena Vista, Colorado, for significant contributions to the specialty of veterinary preventive medicine. A diplomate of the ACVPM, Dr. Hanfelt recently culminated her 21-year career as deputy chief of the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. As deputy chief, she oversaw programs to recruit, train, develop, and equip nearly 3,000 veterinary and warrant officers and enlisted personnel.
