House fills council, HAC seats

At its first-ever virtual meeting in July, the House of Delegates filled vacancies on AVMA councils and the House Advisory Committee. The results are as follows.

Council on Biologic and Therapeutic Agents

Drs. Malathi Raghavan, West Lafayette, Indiana, representing epidemiology; Scott Dee, Farwell, Minnesota, representing microbiology; Sarah Wagner, Fargo, North Dakota, representing pharmacology; and Steven Dow, Prescott, Arizona, representing private clinical practice, predominantly equine

Council on Public Health

Drs. Allan Drusys, Yucaipa, California, and Sarah McReynolds, Manhattan, Kansas, representing animal health; and Drs. Patricia McKane, Okemos, Michigan; Misha Robyn, Atlanta; and Christopher Olsen, Madison, Wisconsin, representing human health

Council on Research

Drs. Philippe Baneux, Ithaca, New York; Charley Cull, Oakland, Nebraska; and Kathryn Shelton, Bastrop, Texas, representing veterinary medical research

Council on Veterinary Service

Drs. Duane Colmey, Livingston, Montana, representing private mixed practice; Barbara Crabbe, Oregon City, Oregon, representing private practice, predominantly equine; and Robert Sager, White Sulphur Springs, Montana, representing private practice, predominantly food animal

Political Action Committee Board

At the subsequent HAC meeting, members of the advisory committee elected Dr. Jon Pennell, Las Vegas, as chair.
