Virtual convention includes virtual exhibit hall
The AVMA Virtual Convention 2020 includes a virtual exhibit hall, with games, raffles, and videoconferencing with vendors.
The virtual exhibit hall will be open Aug. 20-22 during convention hours. Through it, attendees can review their continuing education attendance and build their CE schedule, as well as see speaker information, an attendee directory, and a virtual photo booth.
Virtual exhibit booths will include presentation materials, live text chat, and the ability to schedule meetings or request more information. The AVMA Pavilion will include information on the Association, including the Veterinary Career Center and the Direct Connect tool for practice purchasing. The hall also will include information from the American Veterinary Medical Foundation and AVMA insurance trusts.
Past conventions included exhibit halls with hundreds of vendors, as well as games and prizes for attendees. The 2019 convention, for example, hosted 325 booths, 20-minute CE sessions, a cafe, and career aids such as a professional portrait photo lounge and advice on LinkedIn profiles.
