American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture

The American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, whose 2020 annual meeting was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, virtually installed the following new officials in May: Drs. Linda Rydgig, Camarillo, California, president; Lori Bidwell, Georgetown, Kentucky, president-elect; Matthew Fricke, Springfield, Oregon, secretary-treasurer; Carol Gifford, Columbus, Ohio, immediate past president; and directors—Drs. Bonnie Wright, Johnstown, Colorado; Shantel L. Julius, College Grove, Minnesota; and Leslie Phillips, Grass Valley, California.
The academy planned to provide part of the canceled meeting via prerecorded webinars on a virtual platform starting July 17. These will consist of three hours of general sessions, seven hours each of small and large animal presentations, and five hours of veterinary technology presentations. Sessions will be available for three months and can be completed at participants’ convenience.
