Dr. Lisa Smart, shown here, was the recipient of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care’s Research Grant Award at the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium held in September 2015, as reported on pages 35-36 of the Jan. 1, 2016, issue of JAVMA News. A photo of Dr. Claire Sharp, who accepted the award on her behalf, was misidentified as Dr. Smart.
