Education council members selected

Five new members began terms on the AVMA Council on Education on July 29 at the start of the Association year.

The AVMA Council on Education Selection Committee appointed three veterinarians to the council. Newly appointed were Drs. Kevin Donnelly, South San Francisco, California, serving an unexpired term ending in 2015 representing nonprivate practice, nonacademic veterinary medicine; Ann Hohenhaus, New York City, representing private small animal clinical practice; and Stephen Reed, Georgetown, Kentucky, serving an unexpired term ending in 2019 representing private equine practice.

The COE selected Clarence Kreiter, PhD, Iowa City, Iowa, as a new public member of the council.

The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges appointed Dr. Spencer Johnston, Statham, Georgia, representing small animal clinical science.
