Comic book features veterinarians as superheroes

"V-Force: Veterinarians to the Rescue!” is a new comic book from the AVMA that presents the stories of six veterinarian superheroes protecting animal and public health and saving the day from dangers such as leptospirosis, West Nile virus infection, and foodborne illness.

Readers get a look at examples of what veterinarians do to protect the world while working in the areas of research, industry, small and large animal private practice, military service, and regulatory veterinary medicine. The educational publication is suitable in settings ranging from career days to waiting rooms.

The comic book is available to order here. A package of 25 copies costs $15 for AVMA members and $18 for nonmembers. The book also is available in PDF format as a free download.
