The Executive Board has initiated an AVMA Bylaws amendment to alter the charge of the Council on Public Health and Regulatory Veterinary Medicine.

The CPHRVM recently recognized a need to update its charge and further clarify its objectives. The council, therefore, came to the board with a number of internal revisions to maintain its relevance to current and emerging issues involving public health and regulatory veterinary medicine.

The bylaws change will require House of Delegates approval. The HOD will vote on the proposal at its regular annual session this July.
