Actavis recalls fentanyl patches

Actavis Inc. is recalling certain fentanyl patches that could release the analgesic faster than they should.
In laboratory testing, Actavis identified one 25 µg/h fentanyl patch that released fentanyl faster than specifications for the product.
The company is unaware of any injuries from the product but is asking wholesalers and retailers to return fentanyl patches with the following lot numbers:
- Exp 12/2011—30041, 30049, 30066
- Exp 01/2012—30096, 30123
- Exp 02/2012—30097, 30241, 30256
- Exp 03/2012—30257, 30258, 30349, 30350, 30391
- Exp 04/2012—30392, 30429, 30430, 30431, 30517
Corium International Inc. manufactured the patches for Actavis at a facility in Grand Rapids, Mich.
