The article “Board weighs in on foreign accreditation” (July 15, 2010, page 130) misstated the date that two veterinary colleges first received accreditation from the AVMA Council on Education. The University of Prince Edward Island Atlantic Veterinary College was first accredited in 1988 and the University of Saskatchewan Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1967.
The article “100 years later, hospital leads the way in veterinary medicine” (Aug. 1, 2010, page 230) gave an inaccurate title for Dr. Ann E. Hohenhaus. She is the spokeswoman for the Animal Medical Center in New York City, and a specialist in oncology and small animal internal medicine at the hospital.
