Iams recalls canned cat food for insufficient thiamine

Iams has recalled specific lots of canned cat food in North America because testing indicated that the product might contain insufficient concentrations of thiamine. The recall covers all 3- and 5.5-ounce cans of Iams ProActive Health cat and kitten food, regardless of variety, with a date code on the can's bottom of 09/2011 to 06/2012. The recall does not include Iams Veterinary Formula cat food.
