 The AVMA supports the Food Safety and Tracking Improvement Act (S. 425). This bill would establish a food traceability system as well as give the government power to recall unsafe food products if the producer fails to do so. S. 425 was before the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry at press time in early June.
