The Executive Board approved revisions to the following AVMA policies:

  • "Foreign Aquatic Animal Pathogens"
  • "AVMA Statement on Veterinarians in Aquatic Animal Medicine"
  • "Food Safety Policy Promotion" (now "Promotion of Veterinarians' Role in Food Safety Policy")
  • "AVMA Food Safety Policy"
  • "Fish and Shellfish Inspection"
  • "Position on Compounding"
  • "Position Statement on Internet Pharmacies"
  • "Public Health and Regulatory Veterinary Medicine Continuing Education"
  • "AAFP/AAHA Basic Guidelines of Judicious Therapeutic Use of Antimicrobials"
  • "AASV Basic Guidelines of Judicious Therapeutic Use of Antimicrobials in Pork Production"
  • "Coalitions"
  • "Position on Declawing of Domestic Cats"
  • "Early-Age (Prepubertal) Spay/Neuter of Dogs and Cats"
