Dr. Rachel S. Boltz (MSU '01) won the second "Thank Your Vet for a Healthy Pet" essay contest, which is sponsored by the Morris Animal Foundation, Hill's Pet Nutrition, and BowTie Inc. Dr. Boltz is an associate at the Adobe Animal Hospital in Los Altos, Calif. She was nominated by her client Lisa Lotti for being "one of the most knowledgeable, dedicated, and passionate veterinarians" she has encountered. Dr. Boltz was named the West regional winner.

The other regional winners were Drs. Lee W. Morgan (WIS '96), Georgetown Veterinary Hospital, Washington, D.C.; T.L. Walker (AUB '81), Highland Animal Hospital, Augusta, Ga.; Lisa J. Willis (TEX '96), Great Oaks Animal Hospital, Round Rock, Texas; and David W. Bainbridge (PER '86), Morris Veterinary Hospital, Morris, Ill.
