Sullivan joins Washington staff
John Sullivan started as legislative policy and program coordinator at the AVMA Governmental Relations Division in Washington, D.C., this January. Sullivan is responsible for helping manage the Association's extern and Congressional Science and Executive Branch Fellowship programs as well as conducting legislative research and generating grassroots support. A 2006 graduate of Catholic University, Sullivan has a bachelor's and master's in politics. He interned for Rep. William Clay of Missouri, researching legislative issues and assisting with the FY 2007 appropriations process. Sullivan also interned for the Democratic National Committee and was a staffer for former senator John Edwards during his 2004 presidential campaign.
