Recommended AVMA PAC contribution increased

| AVMA members will soon notice an increase in the recommended AVMA Political Action Committee contribution on their AVMA dues notice. The Executive Board approved an increase from $50 to $75, on a recommendation from the PAC Policy Board. Roughly 55 percent of all PAC contributions come from the recommended $50 listed on the AVMA dues notice. Additionally, about 85 percent of all PAC contributors donate $50. By increasing the recommended donation, the PAC believes it will receive roughly an additional $60,000 annually, or $120,000 per election cycle. The PAC's main goal is to become a $1 million committee by the end of the 2008 election cycle. | ||
