The AVMA is co-sponsoring three continuing education programs presented by the American Fisheries Society in June and July 2005.

The programs, part of the meeting's Fish Health Section, are "Spring viremia of carp," "Applying risk assessment principles to fish health situations," and "Current topics in aquatic toxicology."

The Aquatic Veterinary Medicine Committee recommended that the AVMA participate in the meeting as a way of benefiting AVMA members seeking CE credits in the field of aquatic animal health and medicine.

Additionally, the AVMA's co-sponsorship will allow the American Fisheries Society to provide CE certificates to veterinarian participants to submit to state licensing boards for the appropriate number of contact hours of CE for each program.
