The AVMA is a dynamic organization and relies on the input of many advisory bodies, volunteer leaders, members, staff, and other stakeholders to identify the most important issues facing the organization. At this time, the Strategic Planning Committee is asking for help in identifying and prioritizing top, critical issues.

During the period of Sept. 15-Oct. 15, 2004, internal stakeholders—including members of organizations represented in the House of Delegates, AVMA councils, committees, and task forces; AVMA members; and executive staff—are requested to submit their opinions on the top three critical issues facing the AVMA over the next one to two years and three to five years.

A private password-protected area on the AVMA Web site has been developed where AVMA members can submit comments. Use the "Strategic Planning" link under "About AVMA" on the home page, www.avma.org, to conveniently access the private area and submit comments.

Later this fall, the Strategic Planning Committee will review input from internal stakeholders and develop strategic recommendations for the Executive Board's consideration.

Please take time to submit your input—your opinion is valuable in the AVMA's strategic planning process.
