The Executive Board has authorized the Council on Education to send two council members and an AVMA staff member to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine at St. Kitts in the Caribbean to conduct a consultative site visit this September.

Ongoing discussions with Ross led to the school's request for this visit. The school has stated its intention of seeking AVMA accreditation.

An established foreign veterinary college may request that the council send a consultative team for an unofficial appraisal of its program, as related to the accreditation standards. Before the visit, the college will submit a detailed self-study report.

Ross will pay all expenses, along with a fee to cover AVMA administrative costs.
