Revised model policy on harassment online

 As part of the AVMA's five-year review directive, in 2001 the Council on Veterinary Service evaluated the AVMA Model Policy on Harassment, which was approved by the House of Delegates in 1995. Last November, the council amended the document and submitted it to the Executive Board. The board referred it back to the council for further revision with new information that had not been available to the council previously.

This April, the board approved the council's rewritten document. AVMA members can access the new document at www.avma.org by going to the Resources page, selecting the AVMA Member Resources option, and on the menu, clicking on AVMA Policies and Guidelines.
