Merial consolidating operations

In a move that will consolidate Merial's five major animal health facilities in the United States, the company announced it will relocate to Georgia its operations in Iselin, NJ; North Brunswick, NJ; and St Louis. The move will take place in stages, and the completed relocation is expected by April 2001.
The new North American headquarters will be in Atlanta. Expanded research activities will be conducted at the company's existing manufacturing and research facility in Athens, Ga, where Merial will continue its cooperation in research and development with the University of Georgia. The company's avian health business will remain in Gainesville, Ga.
