Dr. James W. Carpenter, Manhattan, Kan, received the Exotic DVM-of-the-Year Award from Exotic DVM Veterinary Magazine at the International Conference on Exotics, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The award is given to an outstanding veterinarian who has expertise about exotic companion animal species and is committed to raising standards in the exotic veterinary medicine field.
Dr. Carpenter is a professor of exotic animal, wildlife, and zoo animal medicine at the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
