Basic information

Who can attend the Virtual VLC?

The VLC is open to all veterinary professionals Including: Veterinary Students, Veterinarians, Technicians, Association Executives and other industry professionals interested in developing their leadership skills for their professional and personal development are encouraged to attend. Guests and children are not permitted to attend or earn continuing education credits.

Where can I find information for the hearing impaired?

The AVMA Virtual VLC continuing education sessions provide closed captioning. For additional ADA requests, please indicate your request during registration.

Registration

How much does it cost to register?

The AVMA Virtual VLC registration rate is $340.

When will registration open and close?

Registration for the live VLC is now closed. On-demand registration will be available beginning Monday, January 11 through March 2021.

How do I attend?

An email with event access instructions will be provided after registration has been completed.

What is the cancellation policy?

Registration fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the meeting live, session recordings will be available through March 2021. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to vlcatavma [dot] org.

Continuing education

How do I access the VLC 2020 Continuing Education certificate?

Please email vlcatavma [dot] org to request a CE certificate for a past Veterinary Leadership Conference.

Do I need to sign up for each session I would like to attend?

All VLC CE sessions and keynote addresses will be available to all full conference registrants through March 2021 for on-demand access.

What is the maximum number of CE hours I can earn?

Attendees can earn 9 live CE hours. If your state veterinary board allows recorded CE, there is an opportunity to earn 16 additional on-demand hours for a total of 25 CE hours.

My spouse is also a veterinary professional. Can they attend CE sessions?

Only Virtual VLC registrants can attend education sessions and earn CE credit. Spouses who wish to attend sessions should register as a separate attendee.

Have my state's CE requirements changed due to the pandemic?

State veterinary licenses are issued by the veterinary regulatory board or licensure entity within each state. Therefore, each state determines its specific prerequisites for licensure eligibility and requirements for licensure.
