DEIW Summit (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Wellbeing)
November 7-9, 2024 | Atlanta
The AVMA's DEIW Summit—first of its kind in veterinary medicine—is more than just a conference. It's the gathering of a community united by the shared goal of fostering environments where creativity, wellbeing, and collaboration flourish.
Taking place November 7-9, 2024, at the Starling Hotel in Atlanta, the summit will offer a dynamic and interactive program that promises to engage, educate, inspire, and create empowered advocates throughout the veterinary profession.
The summit is presented in partnership with the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). Building on the successes of other DEI and wellbeing initiatives, it will create an immersive experience of shared learning and growth for those eager to dive beyond the surface of these important topics.
What to expect?
The DEI and Wellbeing Summit will blend three dynamic keynote addresses with small, impactful breakout sessions, networking opportunities, receptions, and other activities. It promises not just participation but a deep, personal involvement in the learning process. Every participant will be encouraged to share, contribute, and collaborate to ensure a rich and empowering experience for all.
Attendees will come away with greater understanding of how DEI and wellbeing intersect—and actionable ways to empower and support veterinary professionals and the workplaces where we operate.
Who should attend?
Capacity is limited, but all in the veterinary profession are welcome. If you have a passion for advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing in veterinary medicine, this is the conference for you.
