Dr. Douglas Kratt is on his way out as AVMA immediate past president. But before he concludes his duties during AVMA Convention 2022 in Philadelphia, Dr. Lori Teller, 2022-23 AVMA president, and Dr. Jose Arce, 2021-22 AVMA president, had a few parting gifts for him.

Among those gifts was a $1,000 donation to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation in his honor. The announcement was made on Friday at the end of the regular annual session of the AVMA House of Delegates, which took place in conjunction with AVMA Convention 2022.

“Doug worked hard to develop the AVMF” while serving on the Foundation’s board, Dr. Teller said. She and Dr. Arce wanted to celebrate his dedication to the charitable arm of the AVMA. She also encouraged others who want to honor their friends or colleagues to make a donation on their behalf. More information about the AVMF is available at avmf.org.
