Are you or do you know someone who is studying to become a veterinary technician? Applications are due in early October for educational scholarships offered by the AVMA’s charitable arm, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF).

The Zoetis Foundation/AVMF Veterinary Technician Scholarship Program will provide $2,000 scholarships to up to 270 students, thanks to a grant from the Zoetis Foundation. Applications are due October 7, 2023, and must be submitted through the VetVance website.

Applicants must meet these criteria:

  • Be enrolled full time in a U.S. veterinary technology program accredited by the AVMA Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (This includes Puerto Rico.)
  • Be in good academic standing

The Zoetis Foundation/AVMF Veterinary Technician Scholarship Program identifies and supports outstanding veterinary technician students, who in turn can contribute to high-quality patient care and efficiency levels in veterinary practices.

The program is one of numerous scholarships offered by the AVMF

Application for Veterinary Technicians Student Scholarship

I have been a Veterinary Technician for an emergency/specialty hospital for 4 years; considering the knowledge I have learned from Penn Foster, it has made me a strong, knowledgeable technician with intentions to always do better have administer pristine patient care. It would be such an honor to receive a scholarship to help continue my studies to become a Veterinary Technologist after I complete my associates in Veterinary Medicine degree in March.
