Won’t be with us in Denver? Watch AVMA Convention live!

AVMA Convention 2018 kicks off next weekend in Denver, but if you won’t be with us in person, you can still be part of the action. New this year, AVMA members can tune in to watch specific AVMA Convention events live, for free, and earn CE credit!

First, join us Friday, July 13, at 3 p.m. Central Time, for the panel discussion Perspectives on Access to Veterinary Care. Veterinary and animal welfare experts will discuss the current landscape of access to veterinary medical care from varied perspectives. Topics will include community viewpoints on veterinary care, current barriers, opportunities for improvement, and how veterinarians can use a One Health approach to help pet owners.

Then, on Saturday, July 14, at 11 a.m. Central Time, we invite you to be inspired with thousands of your colleagues at our keynote address: When Passion Meets Empowerment, given by entrepreneur, investor, and women's rights advocate Shiza Shahid. Shahid grew up in Pakistan as a vocal advocate for social change. As founding CEO of the Malala Fund with Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and host of the new USA Today show ASPIREist, she speaks passionately about leveraging philanthropy, venture capital, technology, and the media to drive scalable social impact. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Each session offers 1 hour of CE credit, and there’s no cost to attend the livestream; it’s available to all AVMA members to view as a benefit of your AVMA membership. Visit here to register. Just add them to your cart, and you’re set.  You’ll receive a reminder the day of the event with a link and instructions on how to join.

If you aren’t able to watch the live sessions, they also will be available for on-demand viewing for a limited time after Convention.
